The history of the
band is dated to late summer of 2001, when long time friends Messi and
Nasty got together in one of the many pubs you can find in Pardubice
and where Messi has presented material which he has been working on
while in USA. Messi's idea was to follow aggressive sound
of late German bands with use of melodic vocals.
When everything was
said and both guys agreed on future cooperation, Nerez and
Jerry ( ex- Za?ene ) were asked to join in. Initial meeting took place
in front of Pardubice's cemetary. Few days after this meeting CZ Hurt
was called in to play bass guitar.
After obvious and
usual problems with finding of suitable rehearsal place the band started to work
on their first song, using material and ideas Messi had brought in. It
was crucial to have something to work with from the very beginning and after
some time compromising songs like RUN AWAY, MIND ON
FIRE, THE GAME, ICE COLD LOVE were
born
The band has
agreed they
would use NEXT IN LINE as
their name
After several months
of rehearsing they came across first bigger issue - it was more than obvious
that Nasty hasn't been able to sing english written lyrics, not being
fluent in english...even though the band was coming across this issue more and
more often as they were putting up more songs, they have decided to play
their first gig in un-changed setup in December 2002 U Psa with Walk
Choc Ice headlining. The guys were rewarded by 150 people
applauding and asking for more...
After this gig the
band played Uhřetice and Ponorka. Then the band had decided to temporarily
cancel all their activities as the agreement with Nasty was reached to
leave the band.
There was nothing much
going on until Feb. 2003 when CZ Hurt left the band frustrated and the
remaining torso was trying to solve uneasy situation they got into...Though
everybody was depressed they were stil rehearsing not willing to give up their
dreams...
Sometimes in Aug. 2003
somebody had asked Messi to try the solo vocals....
From that moment
the guys were looking to find experienced keyboard player to cover for
Messi's rhytm guitar he had to give up and were stil looking for new
bass player
Easy to say but
REALLY hard to do, especially in Pardubice area ...
Well, luck was on the
bands site once again and at the end of that very month Jamick and Xindl had
joined the band !!
There is A LOT the
band has to do in order to meet their goals - playing clubs, summer festivals,
touring, recording their first CD, having one of their songs at least in the
local radio, but - people without dreams are dead
people...
Tthe band has
finished recording of their 2003 Demo in their small rehearsal studio, rough and
un-mastered records were put on the web so their fans could listen to
it and vote for the best song. Mastering was finished in Jan 2004
The band is using
this demo to present their work in clubs, festivals and local radios
